Greetings. Good day with Rachel. Todd is still in isolation. We hope to see him in the morning. We have an appointment with the head "Doctor" to answer any additional medical questions prior to our court day which is Monday. Rachel has really been enjoying her alone time with us. We have really seen great advances in her the past couple of days. She will repeat any English word that we ask her to repeat and usually starts the word with "What's this?" because she has heard us say that so much when we point to things in her picture book. She will point to Frank and say "Daddy", point to me and say "Mama", other words are "water". I also got her to say "please" several times prior to receiving her snack. When we point to her she says in a very loud voice "ALBINA!" (her Russian name). She laughs when she says it because she knows that we want her to say Rachel. She has explained to our interpreter in Russian, "My name is not Rachel. My name is Albina - you call me Albina". For the record she still likes my lap but reaches for Frank just as much lately. The bottom line is that this little girl LOVES to be the center of attention for obvious reasons... she never has before. If only we could make her understand that everthing is really going to be OK. That soon she will not have to worry about demanding attention, getting enough to eat or having things of her own.
