Good Evening. Things are looking up for me. I think I can see the light. It has been about 6 hours since I have had any severe stomach pain, which is a record since the whole ordeal started. I am all set to move to the big suite tomorrow at 11AM. I just checked Lufthansa's website and Dad's flight has taken off and is scheduled to land in Almaty at 11:15 (15 min early) Kaz time. He will be picked up by my agency personnel and taken to a hotel for awhile. Don't worry. He is in the hands of professionals. Hopefully he will get some sleep. He will get breakfast there. Then his plane departs at 11AM. It is direct to Petro and he will arrive at 2:30PM.
As for the kids they are wonderful. My interpreter told Rachel, "Tomorrow your Grandfather will come to the Babyhouse" and Rachel quickly repeats with a smile, "Yes, tomorrow my Grandfather will come." Today when I picked up Todd, the caregiver was dressing him. She quietly started asking questions through my interpreter such as "do you have a warm pair of boots for him when you leave". She asked a few more similar questions. Finally I looked at her face and realized how much she cares. I told her don't worry, I promise he will be very warm, we have tights, a T-shirt, warm boots, snowsuit, etc. She had tears in her eyes. Then she started talking about how much she will miss him, that she has pictures of him with her and her daughter that she will give me. Also, that she is going on vacation tomorrow, but she will come to the babyhouse the day he leaves to say goodbye. I promised to send her pictures with other families that travel and that he would be so loved and taken care of. I had noticed the past week or so whenever I take him back to his room he always reaches for her and laughs.
Here are some pictures. It doesn't matter, but for the record I did not pick out their clothes today.
